Celeste houses a restaurant, traditional English tea room and bar, all located upstairs on the cozy skylit terrace of a 1940s house. Serving classic fare of extraordinary quality, Celeste offers brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner service as well as late evening bar food.
The menu includes generous salads and traditional soups such as lentil and pork or blue cheese and beer; all at very accessible prices. The main dish specialities include, beef fillet with red wine reduction, and the favourite: roasted juicy piglet. Also on offer are exotic game dishes such as duck magret with yam puree, venison fillet with turnip purée and oven baked salmon with curried rice. At the weekend, various Peruvian ceviches made with fresh fish are priced under 85 pesos. Desserts include Rhubarb Pie and the original Eton Mess (meringue, rose water, whipped cream and berries).
Celeste’s bar features a smoking terrace with an enormous fireplace. Offering a wide range of champagnes by the glass, the bar also includes unique artisan mezcals and a cellar selection of more than 70 whiskies and single malts. One can enjoy exquisite appetizers as well as snacks typically found at an English Pub: fish and chips with malt vinegar, sandwiches and quiches.
A specialized selection of imported teas accompanies Chinese dumplings at Dim Sum, and the traditional afternoon tea which includes scones, homemade marmalade, clotted cream, fresh cut sandwiches and petits fours.
